The Kai collection is based on the various waters around the Hawaiian islands. Some are shallow, reefy, and calm while others are deep, cold, and powerful.

This is a sculptural vase made using cane (the lined patterning). Making the cane requires stretching the colored glass. Sometimes we will strech it 25 feet long to the thickness of a pencil. After streching they are cut and used to wrap around the sculpture.
